CONSCIOUSNESS IN COSMOS - A POSSIBILITY? March 2020 May consciousness be a force in the Universe itself? Can we talk about a Cosmic Consciousness? If so, can the Universe expands its consciousness? Is the Universe self-conscious? Mainstream in Western science sees the brain as the father, mother and child of consciousness. Everything of consciousness takes place in, by and for the brain. This does not make sense, says the Hungarian scientist Ervin Lazlo. Consciousness must be something more and he launches a three-step notion of what consciousness might be. A division of three steps that opens up untold possibilities in understanding the evolution of Man and the Universe. Lazlo asks: can consciousness be something the human brain is connected to? Like computers are in a cloud? In that case, we can talk about a distributed and integrated consciousness with collective opportunities. Lazlo does not think this is an adequate explanation either. Consciousness must be something more. Therefore, he launches the «Third Assumption" that the Universe itself is conscious, that the Universe builds consciousness and that the human brain which processes this cosmic consciousness, can develop itself and thus contribute to the development of Cosmic Consciousness. We can understand and reflect on consciousness as a matter of three levels: 1. Consciousness takes place by and in the brain itself. This explanation is inadequate as it excludes the ability to relate to any reality "outside" the individual brain 2. Consciousness is a network of interconnected local brains that respond to each other similar to computers in a corporate intranet. This explanation is also insufficient as it is only a variant of the first explanation, now with a few more brains connected in a closed network. 3. Consciousness is a property of matter itself. This explanation is both spiritual and metaphysical. The fact that it is spiritual means that it imagines that matter is "living" (explained as polarity) and that matter has "will" (capability of prehension). If this explanation is correct, we shall look at the Universe as a unified consciousness where everything is part of a common consciousness evolution. The third explanation made by Lazlo is parallel to Pythagoras' (the ancient Greek philosopher and mathematician) teachings about the Cosmos. This explanation is also supported by other important philosophical notions such as Theosophy. I think Lazlo's thoughts are inspiring. Three things become clear to me. One is about the inertia of Western mainstream science's ability to open up "to itself". Our own philosophers have long argued this. The second is Western science's general reluctance to speak to our own theosophical, anthroposophical and "speculative" quantum theoretical friends. The third thing that becomes clear to me is how blind the Western logical-analytical worldview is to the abstractions, symbols and beauty of the East's knowledge.  The insight into the Cosmic Consciousness as we start to understand it is a well-preserved open source hidden in the many verbal ornaments of the Vedas (Hindu). We just didn't want to see it. I mentioned the Greek philosopher and mathematician, Pythagoras. 700 years before our time, he established his academy based on the dedication he was given by the Egyptian priesthood. Through secret initiations, he passed on to his students, an insight into the hidden and forgotten cosmology that entailed an introduction to the knowledge of the laws of nature and the laws of life, which today live on only in certain esoteric circles. 2700 years before our time, ancient science knew well that the cosmos was a coherent consciousness, that it was related to matter and that evolution was its purpose. Irvin Lazlo writes about this in a modern language and helps to link ancient cosmology to our science of today. I agree that we should hold an optimistic view of artificial intelligence as an opportunity for people, yet we must take care. Artificial intelligence will quickly exceed an IQ (measuring unit for intelligence), let me say IQ 5000 but a normal human intelligence is at IQ 100. What then? To the question I say: Artificial Intelligence is intelligent, Man is conscious. Here we can see the opening for Man's future cohabitation with Artificial Intelligence - an expansion of human consciousness, and therefore an expansion of cosmic intelligence. What do you think? November 2019 We humans descend on Earth to ascend from Earth. What is this about? Is there a story that can explain? People tell me that exploration for the meaning of life is meaningless. I listen deeply and know that such an attitude does not fit me. Life is both too demanding and too  beautiful, to have no meaning. That's why I keep searching for a story. First, I need to understand the meaning of invocation and evocation. Invocation is to invoke, connect and to make an entry of a deity. Invocation is readily understood as a prayer. A call of higher sources. A religious request for a god's participation in an act. We find invocation in the channeling the Theosophy's Alice A. Bailey made, from master Djwhal Khul, more than 70 years ago. Here is the prayer of invoking God's light on the Earth. Invocation is to be understood as a religious request, an appeal that the Light must enclose and connect with the Earth. Evocation is to wake up, make living and to manifest knowledge, impressions and experiences. Evocation is to create performances, stand for a court and is also used for the call of war service (Sic!). Evocation is extracting and leaving something to an other purpose.  Invocation is an act in which a metaphysical source is called for descendent in service of a task. Evocation is an act where experiences, opportunities and knowledges are extracted and passed further on. "Something" descends as to ascends. Invocation is followed by evocation. I see a figure.  Man descends to ascends, why? Initially I stated that I experience life so meaningful that life can’t be without meaning. If I understood life as meaningless, I would know about being abandoned, and I’m not. I have created a beautiful story about the meaning of life. A story I do not need to push on anyone. Only a story that makes my life possible and meaningful, in all its pain and imperfection. The idea of ​​the transcendental source that goes into permanence as Universe, is a dream I trust. The idea that the transcendental creative source creates itself into a Picture - the Masculine source, introduces itself into life through Movement - the feminine source, and together they create Consciousness - the child of the two, is a narrative I surrender into. Consciousness is self-evident and therefore unfinished at all times. Lazlo's idea is that minerals, plants animals and humans are consciously levels, which through intelligent processes create the Universe through the process of evolution. You and I share the experience that minerals, plants and animals speak. I know we do, otherwise you would not have been attracted to this blog post. We may experience the phenomenon diffenrently, but common we experience that everything is living and connected. You, me, minerals, planets and animals, together with the Earth, the planets and the galaxies, are a great living and self-conscious consciousness. Consciousness as the Universe, is the most physical manifestation of the transcendental creative source. Consciousness behaves in many forms. One of the many forms is like souls. As physical bodies, souls can incarnate on Earth. One of the places in the universe where incarnation is extremely heavy. Souls who incarnate on Earth incarnate on a heavy planet, a dark planet. The choice of incarnation is very well planned and a deeply conscious act.  Earth invokes souls for its enlightenment. You and I as souls invoke the Earth to the purpose of enlighting the Earth. We are light workers. Invocation offers us three tasks. We shall support enlightenment of the Earth, we shall educate ourselves and we shall return to the Spirit with new knowledge. We will evoke when the time has come and bring new knowledge back home. Ancient wisdom cultures knew this. Therefore, their inaugurations as priestesses/priests were shaped as invocations and evocations. We descend to ascend. Isn’t that a beautiful story? The third task of our invocation contains the education of ourselves as souls. We reincarnate as souls and invoke the Earth to undergo a spiritual educational process. For every incarnation on Earth, we take steps towards enlightenment. Each incarnation has its purpose that is determined before we incarnate. The purpose is hidden for us because part of the education is that we ourselves will redeem the hidden knowledge. We will wish, seek and find the hidden ascension road towards the new knowledge - our purpose of life. We are invoked to Earth, have accepted the invocation and reincarnate with a hidden purpose. The challenge is to understand our spiritual ascension and specific life goals for this incarnation. Neither the Eastern or Western tradition today has the knowledge neither the methods of how we can reach the understanding of our individual spiritual ascension or the decoding of our life’s purpose. The great mysteries are not understood by the rational brain and the great religions are designed to become concepts for devotion to divinities. October 2019 I try to understand the concept of the human relationship and I know the term is about a connection between two or more. The connection is a channel for transport of dumb vibrating energy, thoughts, sounds and emotions. We love and hate through relationships. Relationships are a phenomenon and a term most people have a relation to. Anyway, I'm not happy with my understanding.    I have studied and formed a picture of man as a universe in the universe. Two people are never the same. We are designed by DNA, sensational experiences and social learning. When two people interact, interaction occurs through the relationship between the two.   Communication in relationships has a hidden dimension the farthest are thinking about. The relationship with another person has at least seven levels! One level for each chakra. I can send my messages from at least seven energetic levels. The ancient Egyptians knew nine physical expressions and these resemble the Chakras as we understand them today. Egypt's understanding of 9 Forces of Nature, is a relationship I come back to in a future blog. Currently, I agree with the 7 renowned Chakras, as most of the spiritual literature does. Each level of the 7 Chakras encodes its intention. Message I send consists of words bearing meaning. Words like opinion carriers are not the same for me as for you. In addition, I package the words into intentional energetic vibrations attached to the chakra that sends the message. A message I send to you and sent from my existential root chakra will bear an impression of whether my root chakra is balanced or not. If I am in a state of lacking love for myself, accepting myself as I am and in goodness to my life as it is, my message will turn from the energy of a chakra out of balance. The energy of the words will be voted by the chakra's lack of self-love. You as a receiver may listen to me from your solar-plexus chakra. The center of the energetic body for control, self-esteem and mental intelligence. This happens autonomously and beyond control of our mind. You answer me from your solar-plexus chakra and your response will be voted in a vibration of control, self-esteem and mental intelligence, which characterizes the solar-plexus chakra. Our transactions will cross, fail and fall to the ground. You understand me from your solar-plexus chakra and I understand you from my root chakra. We've both lost by not tagging and understanding our frequencies as senders and receivers.   I try to convey the complexity of relationships to others. How about relationships and people in such a picture?   In the future, we will be placed in an interaction with humanoids in relationships that are rational, programmed to aim their message toward our energetic centers of emotions and intellect. October 2019 The idea that I could expand my life, was actually given to me through reading a book about death. Dalai Lama's wise insight led by Jeffrey Hopkins in the book "Advice on Dying," gave me inspiration to understand death and therefore life, in an extended perspective. In this text, I reflect on Dalai Lama's thoughts. Man has the choice to be in the lead for the development of own life. Man is an individualized soul and have developed the necessary mind to reflect on own behavior, choose new action strategies and create new insights based on experience. Man is a discerning and responsible being. This perspective is the basis of my texts. My motive is spiritual inspiration. I do not have a religious or a paranormal purpose, nor a scientific one. I borrow knowledge from the great stories, including the scientific ones, and create my own world for inspiration. «Everyone dies but no one is dead» (unknown) In one of the many sayings that inspire me and unfortunately I can not remember the source. The student asks his master about what happens after death. The master answers «can you ever remember you have not lived?». I smile at the answer and think the answer holds great insight. Obviously, the student can not remember when she / he has not lived, even everyone dies, no one is dead!  You must be led into an Oriental idea of ​​life, to know the confidentiality of a lifeview where you live life for life, through (the closest) infinity of incarnations. The body dies, but you do not die. You are an immortal soul that uses a physical body to develop your soulful insight and ultimately gain enlightenment. Once you were a stone If I ever met you - and that would be nice, I would meet you with the knowledge that you have become an individualized human soul through an infinite long journey via the realm of minerals, the realm of plants and the realm of animals. Part of the hidden and forgotten wisdom, which was delivered to ancient people by a civilization that we can only see through symbols and codified stories today, tells us that "we have come from dust, and from dust we shall resurrect." The universe is energy and therefore you are energy, and as energy you are immortal. No energy in the universe can disappear. It can dissolve in its form but not disappear. Today, even our Western science of nature is of the opinion that the universe seems to develop based on an intelligent, conscious and self-formulating formula. Life - a karmic tissue Many in the West know the word "karma" and use it in daily talk and jargon. I would think most would have enjoyed a deeper understanding of the term and perhaps benefiting from listening to the great religious narratives about karma. When I read what Hinduism and Buddhism teach us about karma, the accounts give life my opinion, support and comfort. You will surely be delighted to put into these stories if you have not already done so. Life is a karmic tissue. What can I do with it? Everything is energy. Thoughts, emotions, words and actions are energy. The universe is a "thought image" created by a transcendent force we call God, whom we can not understand. This power of God choosed to create itself in a picture, a tissue, and this weave are you and I co-creating. We weave our lives through thoughts, feelings, words and actions. As long as our lives create new karma, we will continue in the infinite circulation of life, which in turn creates new karma, etc. We can first escape the incarnation treadmill by creating lives that do not create new karma. How do we do that? Through enlightened actions. When we act without separation, in emptiness as form, our actions will be enlightened and they will not create new karma. This is the way to enlightenment. The illuminated need not to incarnate. Karma is probably more complicated to explain and to understand than I get in this short text. You can let my text be a simple preliminary sketch. The purpose of life - your dharma Yes, many people know the term karma. Fewer people know the term dharma. Both concepts are understood and explained somewhat differently, depending on the tradition in which you apply for the explanation. I would recommend you to seek a deeper understanding of both concepts, an understanding that may be valid for you. I can explain Dharma as my «purpose of life». I also see that the term is explained as the «duty of life». By living my dharma into action, I can find a way to wind up my karma. Dharma and Karma are connected and assume each other. I know many people who seek «the meaning of life,» and some of them also more specifically seek their individual «life’s purpose». To me there is a big difference from finding an opinion with life and finding the very purpose of life. In my spiritual teaching to the one who asks, the story sounds like this: you are born for a life purpose. Life is anything but a random meeting between a woman and a man. Life is predetermined, thoughtful and planned. You are born into life for one purpose - with a dharma. Part of your karmic challenge is to seek out the wisdom you need to understand life in this way, seek the way for insight into your dharma and take the choices that make you deliver your dharma into action. Expand your life The above story is a picture you can choose to make sense with or not. You can put the picture away or use it to make sense in the life you live right now. You discontinue karma by seeking and acquiring a greater knowledge of life, about your life's purpose, and by putting your life’s purpose into action. Your physical body limits your biological life span. After a number of years, you will lay your body away. Your soul will enter the life after the physical death and stay in what is commonly called "afterlife". Here, your soul is cleansed and prepared for a new journey into physical life. Here I find trust in the wise story of Dalai Lama about the preparation of the physical body's death and the afterlife's stay. The knowledge that I will return to the physical body for a new life gives me inspiration. By "expanding my life" I can prevent and prepare for the new life that follows. The fewest see life in this way and do not hold the conscious knowledge of the possibility of "expanding their lives." The teachings of karma explain to me that pain and adversity in life is the creation of imbalances from past lives, from failures I myself have been responsible for. By being active looking for my present dharma, I can create past failures and create prerequisites for a new rich life to come after this. Such is the story of karma and dharma, in a simple sketch that requires your specialization. The key to a rich living life and a rich future life is about what the Dalai Lama understands with the term "get an extended life." October 2019 What impact does spirituality and technology affect to futures? I give you one simple answer: multiple! Let me say some words to what futures is about and then add on technology and spirituality.  Futures and how to attract the chosen one The future does not make choices and it is not waiting for you. It just fires out. Driven by megatrends. You can not stop or otherwise delay or delay the future. In fact, the opposite. You should get up early and be well dressed when the future is on. We who work with the future will never be surprised to hear "we did not see it". Future researchers say that the future is coming across. The performance completely violates our notions of future as something that comes to us and which can be observed at a distance. That the future is crossing is just based on the fact that it does not come. The future is lifted into our daily lives, from the sidelines, suddenly and almost without advance notice. Our only possibility of predicting it is through analysis of statistical data and mega trends. To a certain extent, the future can be predicted. Through analysis of development features (megatrends) that can be documented through research, we can understand the future. Based on work with megatrends in contexts that are valid for us, we can choose the mega trends that we consider most relevant. From there we can create a scenario crossing and thus draw future images we can choose to attract. Technology and artificial intelligence Technology is an inseparable part of the history of Man. Humans way to success is driven by technological inventions.  Scientist Stephen Hawking, before his death on March 14th, 2018, announced a strong concern for the development of artificial intelligence. Hawking was strongly upset for what artificial intelligence would have to say for human development. With the development of an artificial intelligence able to develop itself and which exceeds human capacity, as we know it today, to remember and operate large amounts of data, what about humanity? Do we want to end like "the monkey in the cage"? Will the artificial intelligence surpass human intelligence and make us superfluous? The artificial intelligence is rational and it is analytical. It is based on algorithms. It does not have to sleep nor does it require wage increases. In a very long time, artificial intelligence will also occur in humanoids (machine-people) with emotional skills. We already see robots / humanoids with emotional properties today. These emotional qualities will be so well developed that we will come to believe they have spiritual qualities.  Our challenge, however, is that the artificial intelligence in most areas of logical-analytical operations and eventually also in the face of emotions will be so well-planned that it will surpass the human brain. What about the human being then? This challenge was asked as questions to the foremost developers of artificial intelligence. Their response was amazing. Through the concept of future "marriage" between humanoids and humans, through human rights for humanoids and criminal charges associated with "killing" on humanoids, the response was given particularly encouraging but challenging: Expanded consciousness! The way people go to avoid Stephen Hawking's "black holes" as far as artificial intelligence is concerned, is to expand our consciousness. Sic! Let’s look at consciousness and it’s key, spirituality.  Spirituality and expanded consciousness Consciousness as word is a key to me - key to locked rooms hiding the forgotten mystery of a living universe and the expansion of consciousness.  My understanding runs backwards to the Egyptian-Caledonian science tradition, which we can confirm from millennia before our era (Christ) and towards the Roman-Greek knowledge tradition through the Middle Ages until the renaissance of our time. The essence of these traditions was the development of the forgotten and incomplete imaginary images of a "mythical reality" into a logical-analytical brain of an «measurable reality" The new (at that ancient time) sense of mind lifted mankind out of forgotten myths, poverty and distress, at the same time it closed our old brain's ability to communicate with the mythical spirit world. Partially, and only partially, the ancient mystery schools through time,  had the power to preserve the largely lost insight and the old symbolic language. The spiritual insight, our ability to communicate with the spiritual beings, and to create evolution in conjunction with a higher consciousness, had to be closed down and almost to die for the new to emerge. Today we are in front of the paradigm shift. The phenomenological brain is awakened to evolve into a new evolutionary level. This is the core of «Futures of Man». The challenge today is that we no longer believe in a spiritual life. The ability of the old brain to talk with and through spiritual imagination and with spiritual helpers is closed down as a result of the development of the natural science brain. This is not true, however. You and I know "something" wakes up in us. We dare for spiritual orientation and seek spiritual insight. September 2019 Man is facing a change of consciousness map. Such shifts take place when the existing grid of perception no longer brings vitality and credibility to the great stories. To an increasing extent, the old story produces errors and improbabilities. I'm Scandinavian. My native language is one of the Nordic countries. In a Danish edition, I nowadays publish a book about how humans can understand and change their ideas about themselves, from a limited to an extended story. The book has been translated from a Norwegian publisher to Danish and will in English (when the time comes) bear the name "DAWN - the Sapience, the Succession, the Selection". In the text that follows, you will be able to read my initial thoughts, as I express them in the book. By night follows day The night is the Little Dead, and the day is the Great Creator. My experience and understanding of wisdom traditions goes back to the Egyptian-Chaldean tradition, millennia before our time bill (Christ). From there it goes on to Roman-Greek tradition, through the European Middle Ages to the Renaissance and until today. In an infinity of time back, the myths tells the people to be delivered a science of the universe that contained the keys to an understanding of the cosmos, to nature laws we do not know today and for insight into the future. The surrendered wisdom also meant access to a scientific magic with a power so great that it was reserved for a priesthood and delivered through initiations. We find archaeological tracks and survived narratives about this wisdom, but what civilization that gave this insight to humanity is unknown. Through the scientific initiations, the neophytes (priesthoods) were gradually introduced to the mythical cosmology and learned to master the magic powers of the unknown natural laws. I see the inaugurations like the scientific examinations of the day. The purpose of the process was to move people from an experience-oriented awareness to a logical-analytical awareness. Slowly, humanity began the development of the brain of science of nature in the way we know it to day.   In the Egyptian world of imagination, the sun drove over the sky in its wagon towards the evening's preparation for the night's death. The sun's cycle was the symbol of human cycle. The night like the little death offers evaluation, reflection and cleansing. Dawn is the great birth to the new life. The mythical science religions before our era, slowly closed down the phenomenological right brain and carefully wakened the left logic. The consequence was that the old mysteries should be hidden and forgotten, for once in time to be awakened again. When the mythic brain is to be woken again, it is for it to be further developed to its higher level and part of a collaboration with the logical left brain. The shutdown of the mythical brain I see as the metaphorical night, the little death. The awakening is the great birth. The European philosopher and scientist Rudolf Steiner (1861-1925) prophesied that a time would come when humanity would "think with the heart and feel with the head." I read this prophecy as a metaphor for a paradigm shift where science of nature will meet the science of spirit and together they will create the third science, the holistic knowledge of the cosmos and its laws. The birds song You have probably slept outdoor under the stars, or with the window open? I'm doing so. When time approaches for the sun to send its first rays of light into the dark night, the birds will start singing. What are the birds knowing about the sun that I do not know? How can they know that the new day is on its way before it shows its face? The birds song is another of my metaphors. The birds know what to come and they tell us. If you and I are consciously present in our reality, we can also experience the "sun before it shows its face." Signs in time tell me that the new day is on its way. The old brain must be awakened from its "little death" and begin its evolution from a higher consciousness level. Again, we shall persist and create with the spiritual senses, we shall "think with our heart and feel with our head." The materialistic and therefore physical understanding of the universe, consciousness and man as a "machine" loses legitimacy. The scientific explanation no longer has the power to understand, explain and address solutions to the challenges of humanity. Quantum physics integrates consciousness into their mathematical formulas in order for these to coincide. The modern medicine experiments with "mental surgery" where the thought kills the construction of cancer cells. Future research operates with mega trends that show us an immaterialization of the workplace where the orientation in the manufacturing world moves away from the physical product to the production of the idea. Everything tells about a change of consciousness. "The birds are singing" and we can hear their "song". If you look into my previous texts, you will be able to read how I imagine the development. The three colums I attended a Sufi evening at Berkeley (University) in 2008. The professor who led the beautiful seans, begins by pointing out that the West has the world's best school for the head, but no school for the heart. The night after this beautiful Sufi evening I did not sleep. That morning I got up and decided that I would create this "school of the heart". The professor's statement deeply impressed me and is the direct reason I am writing to you today. For people to be part of the evolution, each of us should get up early, dress well and be active in our own development. Our old ideas about ourselves and our consciousness, developed and aligned with a materialistic and 3D realization of understanding, will not be the tool that will lift us on. We find it hard to find programs and methods that can help us. That's why I've published the book "DAWN". It is a product of studies and practices over almost two decades. It is theoretical and practical empirical. In the book I describe three pillars our individual and collective evolution is based on. Each of the columns I will give a more detailed presentation of each of the columns in the three weekly blogs that follow. Here I tell you what the three collumns mean. Sapience - the first column Humans must know the sapience, the mysteries that create life. Insight into wisdom is about understanding the living universe, the conscious universe - a universe that is something else and more than a physical and mechanical construction. When you know Sapience, you know yourself as something else and more than what you observe in the mirror. You understand awareness as the cosmos itself and understand yourself as a co-creator of the conscious universe. You know your form and role as an incarnate soul, and you accept to get to know your spiritual plan of life and to implement the plan. Sapience is the domain of the spiritual ideas. Your ethical and aesthetic domain for the life you live. By knowing Sapience, you have the keys to a life of spirituality, what you are destined for. Succession - the second column Humans must walk the succession, not any path, but the succession that further develops the conscious universe. The Succession is the methodical path of life, based on inspiration from Sapience. When the night like metaphor ends, the birds will sing for you. You will be drawn to your awakening. The sun will rise and the great birth of your new life will take shape. To walk the Succession is to identify your path. It's different to everyone else, so it's true that you are unique. Once you have identified the «Three Faces of your soul», found the hidden law of nature that takes you out of the physical gravity and you have visited the "Kings Chamber of Life» where your incarnation plan is coded and hidden, you walk the Succession.  Selection - the third column Man is a discerning creature and evolve through choices taken. You must choose the Sapience and the Succession yourself. Life is an inauguration. For each life you choose, follows a plan. The challenge in every life is to win the wisdom of this life, identify the way and make the choice for this life. You are the one you choose to become. Nowadays is triggered by the past but developed by the future. The future is a physical force awaiting and calling for you to move. You can choose the future and it will come to you. The choice is all the actions you take that make the Succession possible. The actions are based on Sapiens. When you manifest the necessary choices that transform your barriers into opportunities, you release the big edition of yourself. When Sapience is known, the Succession is identified and the Selection is taken, your life will be like the sun's passage across the sky. September 2019 Why this theme? I have grown up within the framework of a natural science context. What could be measured was real and scientific, everything else was unreal and unscientific. I am educated and trained to understand and act within the framework of what can be measured. Everything else, such as play, imagination and experiences, was of course allowed and had its space, but this did not belong to reality. The reality existed only within the limits of my senses. You recognize yourself? Then I arrived in good adulthood, on my first visit to India and South East Asia, and experienced that reality is far more! I experienced universities, scientific staff and people in general, with an understanding of knowledge, life and reality that blasted the frameworks of my academic and experience-based world. I knew liberation. The world turned out to be so infinitely more than my  existing limited ideas. Obviously, I knew this before I traveled to India and South East Asia. Studies, meditation and immersion in the great mythical narratives, had long shown me a world bigger than mine. I use this story more as a metaphor for what I'm going to extract - our sensational and experience-based Self understands only a limited part of what the world consists of. My first study trip to India was happening in the footsteps of the great Indian teacher Paramahansa Yogananda, and the footsteps led me to a lot of landing. The purpose of my journey was to learn about the encounter between natural science and spirituality. I knew I had to get to know this meeting so that my life could find its greater shape. Here we are at the heart of what my text for this week is about; gateway between a measurable and limited world and an experience-based and expanded world. I am at the meeting between natural science and spiritual science. Humans will succeed in taking the step into a larger future world if they open up for the science of spirituality.  Science of Nature The Western civilization's measuring and descriptive science is a result of a the development of the logically-analytical brain. You who have read my previous blog texts know my words. An ancient and unknown  civilization we hardly can see through remains of symbols, mythical texts and hidden knowledge, transformed to the great civilizations on Earth, such as the Caldean-Egyptian, a wisdom that required a developed logical-analytical brain. When the people at this time in their history gained knowledge of "the mathematics of the universe", the phenomenological brain was dominant. Man had an animistic approach to reality and should now be raised to an empirical (logical and reflective) approach to reality. Before you study the flower it's a flower - but what then? I am highly inspired by the ancient Chinese natural philosophy, Taoism. The old Taoists are really on the trail of an expanded understanding of the mind and consciousness. In several of my blogs I write about Taoism. The Taoists say "Before you study the mountain it is is a mountain, when you study the mountain there is no mountain, after studying the mountain it is a mountain". I mean these words contain my message. Those who reach understanding have opened the room to the self-transforming mind. I will try to be more exact and turn to the world of flowers. Are you among those who know the historically well-known Swedish scientist Carl von Linné (1707-1778)? Recognized for his scientific design of modern biology and ecology. His description, categorization and systematization of flowers, forms the basis for our systematic scientific understanding of nature. He gave nature a scientific face and people a language to understand and classify nature. Are you also among those who know the historically, well-known German scientist Johan Wolfgang von Goethe (1749 - 1832)? Recognized as a poet, dramatist and natural scientist. Goethe deserves more than I can give you, in a short blog, but I keep him ahead of you for a reason. Goethe surrounds Europe's elite of philosophers, poets and scientists. He is appointed as Minister of the Duchy of Saxony-Weimar and becomes director of the Weimar Theater. Goethe eventually leaves his position in Weimar and travels to Italy. The break with Weimar is the breach of conformity and control. The meeting with Italy is the meeting with what I would call an expanded awareness - inspired by the Renaissance's rediscovery of Greek sculptural skills, inventions and  art of paintings. While staying in Italy, Goethe is amazed at the artists' color choices and their aesthetic assessments. Here, Goethe forms his color theory that breaks with Newton's mechanical (natural) analysis of the colors as a phenomenon. Unfortunately, I have to stop my short introduction of both Linnaeus and Goethe here. My point is to illuminate. What do I highlight? I highlight the encounter between natural science in its categorizing form (Linnaeus) and the spiritual science in its transforming form (Goethe). In the study of flowers, these two recognized scientists stood in each of their paradigms. Where Linnaeus was descriptive and classifying, Goethe was philosophical and transforming. On their own, these two scientists represent the recognition of the sensible, from two opposite but comparative perspectives. The Equilibrium The meeting point between natural science and spiritual science is the space where human consciousness can find its expanded form. Without being bound by the formalism of the senses and spoiled by the feelings of the phenomena futures humans will expand their world of understanding and continue their evolution. SEPT 2019 I write about resilience as a trait of being in a human body, in a perspective of futures and my first task is to understand the term.   Resilience is the ability to return to my original self, after being exposed to influences. A great ability. The effects can be physical, mental and somatic. In some part of me it is radical and in other parts, limited. I thank the creative universe for this ability to return to myself.   Nature has this amazing creative power to take back what has been taken from it. We can see the power unfolding after natural disasters such as earthquakes, flares and fires. Human intervention in nature, is also repaired when nature is given the opportunity to the whole self. I would like to look a little closer to the ability to return to my original. Circumstances in my surroundings can move, squeeze, break, invade as infections and create mental imbalance, within me. My ability to return to my original self is defined as resilience. What about this original I do not desire and do not want to return to? What if the circumstances simply ran from my original I? I can go even further. What if the changes are spiritual in the way that they represent sources that provide for necessary shifts in my life? How should I meet such challenges within a traditional understanding of the meaning of resilience?   Liquids, gas, coal and minerals can alter molecular structures under pressure and heat. They can be transformed from coarser to finer compounds of matter. I see this as a form of resilience. An intelligent act is to change its molecular structure when the older is no longer appropriate. This is to go from a limited conviction to an expanded. Just what awakening is about.   The traditional performances of resilience lack a perspective. Often, I think resilience is explained and solved from perspectives derived from the logical-analytical thinking. What I mean? We use financial, technological, medical and psychological expertise to prevent and repair. All this knowledge is figuratively and processed from our left brain. What about our ideas, feelings and experiences? Everything that is processed in our right brain? When our phenomenological positions are exposed to pressure and tension? When our narratives no longer extend? When the development requires that we switch from a limited to an expanded consciously framework? When we will no longer return to our original interpretation framework?   Is there a form of resilience where my ability to transform my mind and occupy a new position when the pressure has ceased? Where can I find it?   By understanding love as the conscious universe-creating mathematics, by understanding the nature of the mind and the idea of our inherent I, I see a meditative form of resilience. It bends in the storm and extends in silence. It survives to be broken, stretched and pressed. It survives the painful wound of the mind, and it creates the new thing about it all.   Futures that come will be driven by megatrends, which we can, to some extent, describe and understand. Despite the fact that we can create future scenarios, make choices of the desired future image and create strategies for what's coming, we'll be meditatively unprepared. We have an urgent need to develop our meditative resilience and it has to be transformative. One of the megatrends that creates new futures is immaterialization. Our ideas about products, works, togetherness, family structures and competences, move from material to an immaterial performances. From what is concrete to what is abstract.   The immaterial future must be met with a transforming mind, a new idea about ourselves and with an expanded consciously framework. The transition from an old matrix to a new and expanded, needs a new idea of resilience – the meditative resilience which comes from your spiritual Inner I. The path is unfolding when the pressure from the new is ceasing and the future has found its matrix. If I act like a tree in storm and show my resistance to oppose, I'll be torn over. Man is facing a change of consciousness map. Such shifts take place when the existing grid of perception no longer brings vitality and credibility to the great stories. To an increasing extent, the old story produces errors and improbabilities. I'm Scandinavian. My native language is one of the Nordic countries. In a Danish edition, I nowadays publish a book about how humans can understand and change their ideas about themselves, from a limited to an extended story. «See the Universe as pure consciousness and love as its creative maths» (@mostadjon) The universe evolves with a precision and complexity that has puzzled humanity at all times. Humans have used myths and observations of the stars' movements, at all times, and today through scientific analysis. In my personal spiritual process where I seek a deeper understanding of who I am, where I come from and where my journey goes, I have had to form a great narrative of the origin and movement of the Universe. In this text I reflect more deeply on my quote: See the Universe as pure consciousness and love as its creative maths (Instagram @mostadjon). I have left the notion of science that consciousness is created in and by the human brain. Such a story makes no sense to me. Ancient Myths, Eastern Religious Explanations, Theosophical teachings, and Modern Scientific Assumptions, tell of an image in which all matter is connected and part of a complex community of consciousness. In particular, the Hungarian scientist Ervin Laszlo's idea of consciousness is interesting to me. Very briefly, Laszlo explains consciousness in this way: First understanding: Local consciousness, consciousness occurs in and by the individual human brain Second understanding: Distributed awareness, awareness takes place in the form of smaller networks of human beliefs similar to networked computers Third understanding: Cosmic consciousness, The universe itself is a great consciousness that creates itself through interaction with all life Laszlo's third understanding creates harmony to me. The idea that all matter is movement and connected to each other as a great tissue is an ancient mythical notion that finds its new form in science that dares to seek new insights. Consciousness develops both at a subatomic level and at an atomic level, and at all levels of frequencies from minerals, plants, animals and humans, and at a metaphysical-cosmic level. Evidence for consciousness in the cosmos The Norwegian author and editor, Henrik B. Tschudi, states in the book "Consciousness in the Cosmos" (Flux publisher, Oslo, 2016), four perspectives that point to consciousness in the cosmos: The Order of the Universe: Processes in the Universe appear as results of patterns and relationships that cannot be explained by coincidence and the absence of "information". Coherence in the Universe: Processes in the Universe seem organized in two main forms that can provide the basis for the notion of a universal underlying dominant "attractor". One main form is "numerical coincidence" between the fundamental parameters of the Universe and the other is "fine-tuned and coherent" physical constants. It is beyond the scope of my text to explain these two terms in more detail. Shortly I can say that the expansion of the Universe would have collapsed if the expansion after The Bing Bang had been a billionth less than it was and if it had been a billionth larger, the Universe would spread so rapidly that it would only manifest thin-flowing cold gases. If the strength of the electromagnetic field relative to the gravitational field had been similarly minimal, stable stars such as the sun and therefore no planets would not have found their shape. Thus, life would not have been developed. These are just two of several coincidences that underlie the Universe in its form. The Order of Evolution: The universe evolves and changes over time. If we can see that the macrostructures that give the Universe its shape are marked by order, we can say that evolution evolves intelligently and that this intelligence also underlies evolution. If we can identify coherence and order in the evolution of life on Earth, may we say that the same order is the basis of the evolution of the Universe? Direction in development: Life is the result of processes that require structures that conserve and transform energy, we can talk about processes with high structure. This is in contrast to physical processes in general, which are characterized by searching for instability and disorder, what is called entropy. Therefore, life is seen as an anomaly (an "error") in the Universe. That was how science thought until the 21st century. Today, science knows that life can evolve under conditions other than those that apply to Earth and that such conditions are not so rare. Complex molecules can be formed in active stars and this appears to be integrated into the processes that develop the stars. Life can prove to be embedded in the very evolution of the Universe and not just a coincidence that has arisen on planet Earth. Life breaks with science's notions of the physical universe and of principles for the development of physico-chemical systems. Life has emerged from high coherence characterized by active compounds that appear sensitive and precise. This form of sensitive interaction tells of a basic form of perception and it is called prehension. We can understand prehension as to "sense" (sense, perceive, grasp). All life forms perceive all other forms of life and for this no sense organ or nervous system is needed. The ability to prehend is an expression of the inherent coherence of the elements included in the physical system. The evolution produces more and more complex coherent compounds within and between systems, even bacteria can display "irritation" when exposed to environmental stimuli. Life that does not have sensory organs and nervous systems is capable of seizing processes they are part of and this is defined as primary perception. Prehension as it is expressed in primary perception is therefore to be regarded as a first sense - a primordial sense. The more complicated forms of life with sensory organs and nervous system can therefore relate to the processes they are part of, via two main forms: prehension and perception. I could write more about both prehension and perception, and linked them to the ability of certain people and cultures to "see what does not have form, hear what does not sound and understand what is not thought" (@mostadjon), but I delimit me here. My rationale for inviting you into this philosophical space is to outline how consciousness in the cosmos can evolve and that you are co-creator of cosmic consciousness. Ancient Myths How do new thoughts of consciousness and the cosmos relate to ancient myths of the same? The Chaldean-Egyptian myth world existed for thousands of years before our era. Together with the other great ancient cultures at that time, their knowledge was transformed by Greek and Roman art and philosophy, on which our Western culture and science are largely based. By reading me deeply into ancient myths conveyed through pyramids, hieroglyphs, and obelisks, I see connections and explanations that open up a larger world to me. Ancient Egyptians and the surrounding great cultures of that time, had knowledge of a mathematics and a cosmology that explains the beginning, structure, and development of the Universe. From the Egyptian monumental edifices erected to mirror the shape and development of the Universe, to the Pythagorean's theoretical interaction with mathematics and music, based on the same insight, I got keys to understanding numbers as a mythical language in line with the hieroglyphs and myths told with pictures . The Greek philosopher Pythagoras (c. 570 - c. 495 BC) was initiated into the Egyptian mythology and founded his academy in the Greek colony Kroton, south of Italy, where he continued his insights from his studies with the Egyptian priests. I have to ask you to wait until I find the place and time to look more closely at Egyptian insights into the world of numbers, based on their architectural and pictorial constructions and on Pythagorean's philosophy of the mystery of numbers. In this text, I point to ancient Egypt and Pythagoras, to give you a thread to hold on to and create the foundation for a final comment. By comparing what science of our time knows about the cosmos and the new insights that come with, among other things, Ervin Laszlo's thoughts on cosmic consciousness, with ancient knowledge of natural laws that are forgotten for us today, we can glimpse a connection. The mathematics of love Mathematics in our time and in our western context has evolved to become a science of structure, order and relationships. Mathematics is made up of logical conclusions based on basic assumptions (axioms). Mathematics uses a distinctive symbol language with an almost universal distribution. However, mathematics of our time is detached from ancient mythical beliefs about the magic of numbers and their relationships with natural laws that are hidden and forgotten. Pythagorean's important teachings are remembered and used, but the Pythagorean doctrine of the spiritual world of numbers is hardly known. I must leave this perspective in this text and be careful to point out that such a breach exists. The universe may have been created with the aim that out of entropy (disorder / chaos) life should arise (order / structure) and life should develop forms that we see today, which are part of the unification of the Universe as cosmic consciousness. Such a performance is consistent with the Chaldean-Egyptian cosmology and is reflected in their architecture, language and mathematics. By taking such a point of departure for my reflections and by supporting me in mathematics as a universal and evolutionary language for all time and all contexts, I ask: is love the language of creation and mathematics its scientific expression?
